2026 SEASON UPDATE

OPENING WEEKEND! – Practice this coming weekend, Sat 18th & Sun 19th. Right now weather looks good at Avon for Sat 18th, possible rain late in the day so get there early. Not great for Sun, but it’s still early. I’ll track 72 hr Avon radar as we get closer to the weekend. As usual, I’ll post a rainout at 7AM if the day looks bad. Remember, Avon weather can be quite different than Rochester, so don’t put too much weight on general forecasts.

ROOKIE DAY:  Sat 25th. Karts and bikes invited, but rookies will have priority for the track when they need it. Asphalt pit area dedicated to Rookie School.

RACE #1 Sun 26th. The timing system has been thoroughly checked with track transponders. Remember practice #1 is largely designated to ensuring that all driver transponders are registering & under appropriate name.

SAFETY CHECK: Check your kart thoroughly for safety items by going through the NKA checklist. Karts will be inspected on the grid. Please review the previous post on helmets, since this is a year when some certifications will expire.

REGISTRATION FORMS TABLE: Will have a separate table for filling out forms prior to registration. (Payment at registration will be accepted for those who filled out membership forms at the Membership and Rules meeting)

Please remember cards and phones are preferred. This dramatically reduces time and effort required later and makes the entire process at registration much more efficient. If you don’t have access to phone or card payment, please have exact cash.

ANNUAL NKA MINOR FORMS:  Parents, please remember the double sided annual minor form. Kids 5-7 will need a copy of birth certificate submitted.

TRANSPONDERS: Please charge & mount if you’re coming to a practice. We can verify function, or fix a problem during practice,  shortening the time required during practice #1 on race day. We have a new tower volunteer who will be learning the system beginning with Sat 18th practice!

PURCHASE TRANSPONDERS: Please make every effort to purchase your own transponders. Again, this makes the entire race process more efficient and it will pay for itself in a single year.

RESERVED PARKING SPOTS: Members only. Same $100. Please email to geneseevalleymc@gmail.com  if you wish to continue renting the same spot this season, include parking spot number. (disregard if already communicated) Email also if interested in renting a vacant spot and we’ll put you on a first come first serve list.

2026 RULEBOOK: Drafts will be circulated to track officials for review and suggestions and will be released shortly.

PRICES: Remain same except transponder rental now at $25, driver’s license left at registration.
-Bike practice prices remain the same, as well as our mutual sponsorship continuing in 2026 with Moto Z, with bike membership, including a membership card worth 15% off at Moto Z and a voice in track operations & surface repairs consistent with bike practices.
Special Event pricing is arranged with the event organizer.

WEEKDAY PRACTICES: Members in good standing only, or with special permission. Currently limited to 2 specific days, we’re seeking permission from the town to run 2 weekday practices on varying days.
NKA requires a person be present with some formal emergency certification in their background who is capable of properly handling injuries, and emergencies until an ambulance arrives. This person or another designated person will be in charge of the weekday event, enforcing rules, getting waiver signatures and funds, and opening and closing the track.
Entry level coaching will be available during the week once the school year ends, or by special arrangement.
