NIGHT RACE CHANGED TO AUG 9

Sorry everyone, when we came up with Aug 16^th for our night race, I forgot to check Lafayette’s schedule that indicated a double night race on Aug 16 & 17^th. There are folks that would like to attend both & we definitely want good relationships with other tracks. Fortunately the solution was fairly obvious.

Sun Aug 10 will be a practice day for karts & bikes

There is a chance if we’re rained out Sat we might be able to keep lights for a Sunday Night race at a one day light rental price price, but a lot of people may have plans or school the following Monday that would rule out Sunday. We can discuss this option later when season starts.

Sat, Aug 16 (original Night race) becomes a kart & bike practice day.

Sun Aug 17 becomes our Race #16

Schedule after that remains the same.

For the night race we have to go through a new full application for a town variance because of ownership change, which may a few months. Eventually you’ll see a sign up for a public hearing.

Next on the agenda is to file a new application for the track with NKA for recertification. We can’t have any karts or bikes on track for before Rookie day until this is approved.

I’ll continue to notify of rainouts for races & Sat practices on website & mass mail system at 7AM . Let’s hope for a better start up than last year! A new Facebook page is being developed & when complete will use that also.
