Track Layouts
GVMC contains four road course layouts and two oval layouts to maximize your racing experience without having to travel to different locations. Typically, course layouts are rotated on a two-week basis. Below you will find each of these layouts.

Course 1, also known as the original track layout, contains a mix of high speed esses, long straightaways and a tight hairpin.

Course 2 extends the final piece of the turns 2/3/4 esses up “Al’s Loop” with some additional elevation change provided by an uphill braking zone and a downhill exit onto the back straight.

Course 3 takes the elevation of course 2 but eliminates the esses. This addition of the short straight allows greater speed through turn 2 and creates a high-speed uphill sweeper into turn 4.

The reverse course is the shortest of the combinations, bypassing the pit straight and hairpin, utilizing the second start/finish line on the back straight. Unlike other counter-clockwise layouts, this course runs clockwise and laps go by quickly! Movable plastic barriers are added in the normal turn 1 area to eliminate risk of overshooting the “bypass hairpin,” keeping our drivers safe!

GVMC has layouts for oval enthusiasts as well! The original oval is perfect for oval karts and microds. Long, sweeping corners and wide straightaways make a perfect track for side by side racing!

The extended oval layout is a bit less traditional, turning into more of a paperclip layout and having an uphill entry into turn 3 and downhill exit from turn 4. A nice little twist to change up the racing action from time to time.
